Hydrosols are the aromatic, water-based botanical waters created during the steam distillation of plants. As flowers are gently steam distilled, the resulting aromatic water captures the delicate water-soluble constituents and natural essence of the botanical.

Water is an important part of healthy, hydrated skin, while oils and balms provide nourishing lipids that help support the skin barrier. Since oil-based balms and facial oils don't contain water, applying them to damp skin is a simple and effective way to bring both water and oils into your skincare ritual

HOW TO USE

Mist clean skin with hydrosol first, then apply your balm or facial oil while the skin is still damp. The hydrosol provides a water-based layer for your oil to spread over, helping your balm glide more easily across the skin and leaving it feeling softer, and smoother, while locking in lasting hydration.

Alternatively you can mix with your favourite balm or oil: Spray a small puddle of hydrosol directly into your palm, add a small amount of your favourite oil or balm, and mix together before applying to your face or body.

Hair: Lightly mist through hair and onto the scalp for a refreshing botanical spritz.

Room & linen: Mist lightly into the air or over linens for a naturally beautiful floral aroma.

STORAGE: 
Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Use within 6 months of opening, or store in the fridge to extend shelf life.

NOT ALL "FLORAL WATERS" ARE HYDROSOLS The term floral water can be used quite loosely in skincare. Some products marketed as floral waters are simply water combined with essential oils, fragrance, or other additives rather than a true steam-distilled hydrosol. This is why it’s worth looking closely at the ingredients and how a product was made when choosing a botanical water for your skin.
